Siding in Falmouth: what's different here

Falmouth is the second-largest town on the Cape and the only one with two coastlines: Vineyard Sound on the south and Buzzards Bay on the west. That matters for exterior work, because homes in Falmouth Heights, Woods Hole and West Falmouth get hit from different directions than homes in East Falmouth or Hatchville. The housing stock ranges from year-round Capes and ranches to large waterfront properties and Victorian houses around the village green. Falmouth is about 30 minutes from our Centerville shop, and it is one of the towns where we work most often outside Barnstable.

West Falmouth and Woods Hole homes are often cedar-shingled and may sit inside a local historic district. East Falmouth and Teaticket homeowners more often choose vinyl or fiber cement for lower upkeep.
